About Public Meetings
If a public hearing is being conducted, every member of the public wishing to speak may do so.
During planning board meetings, the public is invited to make general comments on land use issues in Bucksport at the beginning of the meeting, and they are also provided an opportunity to comment on an application during the board's review.
During a town council or committee meeting, the public is usually invited to share their comments on an agenda item prior to a vote.

Meeting agendas are posted at the town office and on the town's website. Announcements about upcoming meetings and legal notices about public hearings are also placed in the local newspaper.
The planning board meets on the first Tuesday of each month. Special meetings may be scheduled on other dates, as required.
The town council holds their regular meeting on the second and last Thursday of each month. During the preparation of the annual budget, the council meets weekly.
Most public meetings are held at the Bucksport town office, though occasionally other locations are chosen. The meeting locations and times are identified on each agenda.
